Meatless Monday Green Drink Recipe

Meatless Monday is a trend among health-conscious folks where you go without meat all day!

Reducing your meat consumption can do wonders for your health and can also help you lose weight and feel great! However, it can be a tough transition for people who are used to eating meat with every meal. That's why #meatlessmonday was invented -- To connect like-minded people and provide support and great info to everyone trying to become vegetarian or at least go without meat one day per week.

Green drinks are a fantastic way to get more veggies in your diet and give you an extra boost of energy. And since Mondays are typically the one day where people need the most help with energy, we thought we'd give you a yummy green drink recipe to go along with your meatless Monday.

Meatless Monday Green Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz organic orange juice
  • 2 leaves of kale
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 handful frozen raspberries or mixed berries
  • 1/4 cucumber, peel removed
  • 1 tbsp. green supplement
  • ice

Directions:

Put ingredients into the blender in the order listed above. Blend well, pulsing a few times on high and low settings. Add more ice as need to create desired texture. We recommend using a high-quality green supplement made with whole foods, such as All Day Energy Greens.
